![]() ![]() I mean come on! At lest with Tolkien “the evil men from the east” were at least talked about in The Two Towers and they were referenced by Faramir when he asked, how many of them were just doing their duty and hated to be away from their homes and families. You’d think Brandon Sanderson could have spared a few pages of…SOMEBODY talking to them, making them sign the Dragon’s Peace at least! ![]() I’m irritated that the Sharan thing never coalesced or concluded at all! It was an ass pull to begin with and they weren’t even afforded the decency of a treaty. And after all’s said and done the one overwhelming feeling I am left with is I could not put it down, even though the entire book was nothing but one big fight scene after another. I read this final book in less than six weeks, which for me is a record. Some parts pissed at the disregard for some characters and their arcs just being thrown away for convenience. ![]() Some parts mad at the amount of story that was left untold or not wrapped up properly. Some parts glad that it’s over and the story, for better or worse, is finished. Which is to say I have finally completed all fifteen books of The Wheel of Time, every 1000 plus page book. Well, I’ve just finished reading A Memory of Light. Maybe, because it was the last book, I wanted to save it for as long as I could? Maybe I was just afraid to read it? Maybe I knew that the last book could never live up to and properly close out the massive epic that The Wheel of Time had become? Maybe I forgot about it…until now. I bought A Memory of Lightthe final book in Robert Jordan’s epic The Wheel of Time series, almost two years ago from Amazon and it sat on my shelf since then. I have never read an e-book and hopefully never will. I have waited to read every new book till it came out in paperback format. I don’t have a single Wheel of Time book in hardcover and I don’t think I ever will. ![]() The Eye of World Cover, Book 1 of the Wheel of Time. ![]()
